11th December 2021, the Correct Connect Africa Foundation (CCAF) launched the 3rd edition of Sankofa Youth Journal.

In his speech, the general coordinator of CCAF, Anthony Aleakwe Odior, appreciated and congratulated everyone who contributed to the success of the launching of the 3rd edition of the Sankofa Youth Journal. He said that the Sankofa Youth Journal is a “Pan-African effort to inform the present and retrace what has been left behind for ages; it focuses on themes that reflect African renaissance, root knowledge, history, and African classical humanities.”

He also spoke about the need to converse our cultural and historical background.

Finally, he said that “the Sankofa Youth Journal promises a range of educative, rich-in-value write-ups for consumption that guarantees healthy mind formation.” Joseph Kunle Ogundana, a member of the editorial team, gave a brief presentation of the articles in the journal, stating that the journal consists of thirteen (13) articles written by ten (10) authors, including the editorial note. He referred to each of these articles and explained their content.

Contributors present at the launching had the opportunity to give a first-hand dig into their articles.

External reviewers who connected from Angola and Kenya also commented on some of the articles written.  They encouraged the Foundation to stand firm in their resolve to educate both young and old of their cultural heritage.
