Ask the Sankofa Guide

A finding aid, not a chatbot: it shows editor-reviewed answers and matching pages. It does not generate text.

What the Guide does, and what it does not do

The Sankofa Guide is a finding aid, not a chatbot. It shows answers written and reviewed by CCAF editors, each with its sources and evidence label, and the pages of the village that match your words. It never invents an answer: when there is no reviewed answer, it says so and lets you suggest the question to the editors.

Questions you could try

  • “Who was Cheikh Anta Diop?”
  • “Where is Great Zimbabwe?”
  • “How do I register for the Sankofa Political Studies?”
  • “What is the Kheperian Awakening Programme?”

Reading an answer

  • Evidence label: documented history, oral tradition, interpretation or open scholarly question.
  • Sources: follow them to check the answer yourself.
  • Last reviewed: when an editor last checked it.

If you suggest a question to the editors, it is sent anonymously: no name, e-mail or IP address is kept.
